Kitchen Assistant / House Keeper

We are recruiting skilled and reliable staff to join our dedicated team at Katherine House. We are looking for a House Keeper/Kitchen Assistant who has experience.
Housekeeper 10 hours per week: 9.00am-2.00pm,
Kitchen Assistant: 18 hours per week: 7.30am - 1.30 or 1.30 to 7.30pm or 7.30am to 7.30pm
(there will be weekend working on 2 out of 3 weekends)
Excellent hourly rates: £8.00 weekday, £8.72 Saturday and £10.32 Sunday.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the establishment. Where specified, you will provide a laundry service including the operation of commercial washing and drying machines.

You will deliver and collect trays and hot trollies for residents' meals, serving drinks and snacks to residents and assist with the preparation of meals and snacks for residents. Washing up at the end of each service; empty bins and wash floors at the end of each shift, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy as you work.

You will be confident in establishing a professional, friendly relationship with residents, respecting their right to make their own choices, as well as respecting their dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.

This is a physically demanding job so you need to be quick, fit and healthy. You will need to speak good English to be able to communicate with the elderly residents. A clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) result, and good references are expected.
